Yep- that's what I made for dinner. It's probably the last bit of turkey I'll be using as my family is on a turkey strike right about now. Seriously, after Thursday, the only cooking I've done is reheating in the microwave. (I take that back, I actually made a take-n-bake pizza from Costco, but only because Youngest begged me and refused to leave the store unless there was something else to eat "besides, Thanksgiving dinner.")
I might also add at this juncture, although it doesn't really sound tasty, it was really quite good, comfort food for the soul.
How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Was it everything you planned and more? The visit with family was pleasant, just long enough. Having had the mad rush of decorating for Christmas already taken care of, this weekend was actually quite relaxing. I think I might have to start a new time table as far as holiday preparations go.
I went out and did my fiscal duty on Black Friday and got a step ahead on Cyber Monday by taking advantage of a retailer that started the specials on Sunday! So, check and check that off the list.
Although I shopped, I still didn't complete what I needed to for this upcoming weekend's festivities with Beloved's side of the family. I'll have to make due squeezing it in sometime this week between work and other activities.
How was your weekend? Did you relax or work like a madperson getting ready for the next one? Share with me people- I want to know.
And because I like to share and laugh, I'm forwarding on two links that I find absolutely hilarious.
I've shared this one before- Cake Wrecks. This site has a lot of fun with - baked goods gone bad. However, they do showcase some amazing work, so if you're into that kind of thing- it's a great place to check out. That being said, it's extremely funny. Warning- go back and read posts from the beginning and you'll be laughing until your tummy hurts.
This next site is a new find for me thanks to my local paper- Catalog Living is a blog that pokes fun at the ridiculousness of photos found in Catalogs. The author, Molly Erdman has created a fictional couple that live in these catalogs and she writes commentary on them. Stand Advised, only check this site out if you have a lot of time on hand because, it will suck you in and you'll never want to leave. Also, be sure to empty bladder before reading, just sayin....
Okay friends, have a great Monday. I plan to- you do the same!
