Sunday night, the Miss USA pageant was televised. I will admit, I watched it after finding it while surfing. The pageant itself was in it's last hour and they were down to the Top 10. I always like to see if Miss Ohio or Miss Michigan is still in the race.
Lo and behold- Miss Michigan was in the Top 10! She ended up winning the title of Miss USA 2010!
When asked right after they put that crown on her head, "Now that you've won the title, how do you feel?"
Her answer- "Ask me after I've had a pizza!"
Gotta love that!
Next up- the case of NOT ME! Do any of you have the the child Not Me, It Wasn't Me, I didn't do it living in your house? Drives me crazy! Tonight, while cooking dinner, I was cleaning up from the after school snacking mess. I specifically remember closing a bag of bagels and putting them away. I go on my merry way, finishing up a few little odds and ends before dinner is complete. I come back to the kitchen- the bagel bag is back on the counter, open and there are half as many bagels left in the bag. Two of my children are standing in the kitchen talking.
I ask- "Who ate the bagels?" How do you think they answered? "Not me? " "I didn't do it." Hello- please explain- they were so adamant about not admitting to eating the bagels. I even told them - "I don't care who ate the bagels- just tell me who did." Still- no one would admit to the crime! I know it sounds petty- but that kind of stuff just makes me crazy. So how did I respond? I made both of the kids write 100 times
I DID NOT EAT THE BAGELS. Probably not the most effective method- but gosh darn it- I was trying to prove a point. Which I probably didn't prove anything (considering the laughing and complaining going on - but it I did make me feel better and I'm sure "Not Me" felt better too!
